No.
Yes they do deliver.
Great food for even greater prices. Lunch for two was about $26 after tax, before tip. The pineapple curry with chicken and shrimp was great. Accompany it with a miso soup. The soup is a good serving, better than some Asian restaurants.
After staying away from Thai food for 2 months and l was craving to eat Thai food again, Sukhothai was the first spot l went. Since l am Thai l know how authentic Thai food should taste. My order was spicy bamboo with chicken and l made sure to tell them to make it very very spicy like Thai ppl eat. Didnt expect much at first but when l opened the container l was so excited because l knew l wouldnt get this curry paste somewhere else. I went back again in 5 days for the same dish. Im not sure about something else since l’ve never tried but if you love real Thai taste l guarantee you will get it from ‘spicy bamboo’ dish and tell them to make it taste exactly like Thai ppl eat. Also dont forget to order one clear soup on the side so your tongue can burn 🔥🔥
Some of the best Thai food I've ever had with excellent service!
This might be my new favorite Thai spot. Appetizers are delicious and great for sharing (samosa, satae tofu). Entrees are scrumptious, and always served hot. I’m obsessed with their watermelon shake! Small spot, but does the job!
Their food was fantastic! Really enjoyed the Panang Curry!
Delicious!!! I had the chicken pad thai and it was excellent. Will be returning soon.
I had a very nice dining experience here. The strawberry shake pictured here was amazing. For my meal, I had the Horapa Rice plate which was delicious. I had such a hard time choosing what to get because so many items looked good! And being a vegetarian, I get very excited when I have so much to choose from- I need to go back to try more soon!
NICE COZY AND QUAINT PLACE FOR THAI FOOD
Really good food and killer Thai ice tea! Prices are good and the staff was very helpful and courteous. I highly recommend this place.
I love this place so much i parked in the wrong spot and took a ticket. My new go to for some great food. Plus they deliver to your house, talk about convenient. If you like asian food stop by and pick from their big menu.
"A true local gem"I have been eating here for close to 20 years. The owners have changed and it seems to have a totally new crew every few years. The quality and care had remained the same or improved. The food and service is always topnotch and is the kind of place you think about returning to as your leaving. They have parking available across the street and it's always lively but never to crowded. Some of the best Thai food I have had anywhere.
I really liked their Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee -- both tasted mostly like sugar but it was delicious. I asked the waitress for recommendations and she said the pad thai and pad kee mao are the most popular; I got the pad kee mao. It was incredibly oily but quite tasty. Had a bit of spice to it too.Their bathroom also had really nice toilet paper.
The food is delicious. The portions are so large that even 2 people can share one order (or just take home). They have a rich menu, the prices and service are great. It's a very small restaurant, but has the traditional Thai food taste.
Delicious food and the Thai lemon iced tea was amazing.
The restaurant guys added 20% tip themselves without even asking us (not a big group, just two of us). When we asked them why they added 20% extra, they said that we don't have to pay the tip!!! I find this to be very odd. I would have easily missed this 20% unitemized tip, if I hadn't seen the bill carefully. We had a very hard time in communicating with the ppl working there as they didn't understand English easily. Very noisy ambience. I had to remind them about the rice, which is supposed to come with dish we ordered(definitely not worth 20% tip). The food we ordered was delicious.
Local neighborhood Thai restaurant; friendly service; cozy interior (~7 tables); interior & bathroom could use updates; several annoying flies. Thai ice coffee was OK; teriyaki salmon was OK but vegetables were not prepared well nor fresh; Pad see ew was sub par; dry noodles, flavorless, similar to Hamburger Helper quality instant noodles....vegetables not fresh; seaweed salad was old. Maybe an off day? Too bad, decided to try based on reviews but was disappointing; service was good but quality was below average 😕
Great food and service! Will definitely be coming back.
Good food and service. Clean dinning area and the bathroom was very clean. Only seats approximately 20 people total.
Food is amazing. Small place but really wonderful service
Delicious Thai in a cute space - I loved this place. It was in a downstairs building location in a small but quaint setting. Everything was clean, vibrant, and fun and just enough room for the 4 of us at a table with some bags. When we went it was quiet but eventually got busy and for good reason - the food was delicious and made quickly. Spice levels are a little on the lower end for me but I could see how someone might find it a little much, so make sure you know what you're ordering!Everything else was made fresh and beautifully plated. Overall a great location.
We try various Thai cuisine around the area as we really like it and my daughter in law, from Cambodia, says this is very close to her Khmer cuisine. This place wins, hands down, as our favorite. The dishes are generous, very flavorful and beautifully presented. Our group of 7 all had different dishes and everything was well prepared and our waitress was very attentive to our family. This restaurant is so worth it, despite looking for a parking spot in that are being a challenge!
5 Stars for food quality, customer service, and consistency
Absolutely one of the best Thai places around. So good that my wife and I will drive 30 minutes out of the way just for their Thai Suki!
OMG - This is one of the best Thai food I ever had! The seaweed salad was fresh and had this yummy sesame sauce. My eggplant red curry with shrimp was delicious, so well combined with the coconut milk. The waiter communicated my request for non-spicy meal with the chef very well. My boyfriend's fried rice was awesome too. Both our stomachs and our minds were so happy after this food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is the best Thai place I have ever been to, and I've been going here consistently for every birthday, anniversary, you name it for 5 years. Please go and order a curry. I'm sure other things are great on the menu (my friends love the seaweed salad and the pad thai), but please order a curry. The absolute best thing on the menu is the Musman curry (aka massaman curry). It's a cheap (~$10) meal and I always have leftovers!
Friendly. Relaxed. Good value. While the decor leaves something to be desired, eating in was pleasant enough. They have a couple of sidewalk tables.
Food and service was ok. The satay was a little slimy and the main dish did not have whole pieces of chicken. However the tai beer was fresh and tasty.
My meal and the service were great!
Small space but worth it because the food was delicious!
You can't beat their prices.Being from the West Coast, I have had delicious Thai food, this establishment does not disappoint! Try their Thai ice tea! It is so worth the price! Their pad kee mao is absolutely delicious too.
This place is great. I feel better already.
I was thrilled to find after 5 years hiatus, that Sukhothai is still here. I didn't expect anything different, to be honest. Reason being, Sukhothai is by far the best most well-represented Thai restaurant I've ever eaten at. And I grew up in New York, where Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen. But there's something special about Sukhothai. Whether it's the cozy atmosphere, the accurate food, or simply the great pricing, it's plain to see that Sukhothai is my favorite Thai restaurant. Looking for something exotic and new? Eat here.
I had the pineapple duck curry. The duck had a bit of fat on the slices, but the flavor of the curry was great. I also had some bubble tea. That, too, was great. I would recommend this place. The portion size of curry was perfect to fill this fat man's stomach.
Pleasantly surprised. Didn't know such a good Thai place existed in Albany! I highly recommend the beef green curry.
They have the best price that I'm aware of for the amount of quality food that you receive. My wife and I discovered this place by accident, and come back everytime we are in Albany. Their chicken curry is 8 dollars for a substantial portion size. It's delicious!
Place might fall in the 'hole in the wall' category but the food is 10/10. I've been to Thailand and only wish the food was as good as it was here. Their chiefs know what they are doing and the price is right. I can still they are not a secret spot anymore. While you sit and eat you will see pick up orders flying out the door.
The food is SO GOOD and the workers are very polite
Food was delicious, and the staff is super helpful! I had to call back to get a receipt for work expenses and they were so patient and helpful!
It's an unsuspecting good food!
Great food, great portions. you won't be disappointed. worth every dollar
Nice cozy place with a lot of delivery and take out business.
My go-to for Thai food in Albany. Great prices, amazing food, large quantities, and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend Sukhothai!
Delicious variety of reasonably priced entrees. The water was flavored with cucumber as well, which was very enjoyable. Friendly staff and clean establishment. Can't wait to return.
Amazing hidden gem, with excellent food.
I’m Malaysian I’ve grown up eating Thai food and I’ve been searching for good Thai food and this place just hits right and the portions are huge😍😍😍
Omg after I ate here I dreamed and obsessed over their curry for days! It was sooo good. I got the tofu green curry and I am dead serious that I didn't shut up about it for days.
Just a few points that might help you make up your mind. Overall, I would recommend people for a try, especially if you are looking for takeouts.Convenience: it is located underground, might not have the best dining environment. They also have tables set up on the street if you would like to dine on a nice day out. Price: it is very cheap, most likely one of the cheapest places for Thai food in the area. Quality: although the pricing of the foods is cheap, the quality of the food is quite decent.
Wow the curry was unbelievable, it was far above most in this city, I'll keep coming for the fresh food and happy servers.
A little confusion using online ordering. First timer. Picked up order and everything was correct (whew). Seafood tomyalay soup was amazing. Side order of fried tofu was so dry, it was almost uneatable. Suggestion...either rework the prep and cooking or you might want to consider replacing it on the menu with something else. Otherwise, I give it another try.
Nice Thai food at a good price.Decorate is minimal but the food is fresh and true.
